Quality Policy of the University Of Ruse

At the  University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev", an internal university system for evaluating and maintaining the quality of education and the academic staff functions effectively and is constantly being developed and improved, which is harmonized with the European principles for building similar systems, takes full account of national achievements in this field and includes its own long-term experience and good practices.  The system ensures quality in the main and service units and affiliates of the university, promotes the enhancement and development of the culture of quality among the academic community and is open to users of educational, scientific, project, production, administrative and other university services.

The Internal University Quality System of the University of Ruse is the foundation and pillar of the Quality Assurance Policy, as part of the strategic management of the university and its strategic priorities for sustainable development and leadership on a national and international scale based on a balance between the legal and by-law requirements definig the state policy in higher education and principles of the academic autonomy.

The Quality Policy of the University of Ruse supports its mission and vision to develop and establish itself as a strong and authoritative educational and research institution at the national and international level and as an enterprising , an innovative and committed fourth-generation university with a proven track record of academic excellence in accordance with the adopted European and national standards regarding quality management systems in educational organizations.

The quality policy of the University of Ruse is fully aligned with the institutional context of the higher education institution and its unwavering aspiration to be an engine for the development of its adjacent regional ecosystems and a leader in the cross-border Bulgarian-Romanian region and the Danube area.

The quality policy of the University of Ruse provides a framework for the implementation of the main goals of the institution, namely:

• High quality of the educational, research, scientific and innovation activities of the university;
• High quality and efficiency of the  international and project activities of the university and continuous strengthening of its international authority;
• High quality of the socially beneficial activities of the university such as lifelong learning, dual and professional training, support for career development;
• High quality of activities for the benefit of the regional ecosystem - confirmation of the university-science-business connection, effective contribution to the functioning of regional and local government bodies and all sectors of public life.
  
  The quality policy of the University of Ruse meets the applicable requirements for:

• Coverage of all university activities as the subject of periodic assessment according to the criteria of the Quality System;
• Coverage of all stakeholders related to the Quality System and its procedures and regulatory requirements: teachers, employees, students, doctoral students, national and international partners of the university;

• Guaranteeing publicity and transparency by purposefully informing the internal and external audiences of the educational institution about the criteria and procedures for maintaining quality.
  
  The quality policy of the University of Ruse is subject to continuous improvement and alignment with the most current European and national standards and principles for quality assurance through:
• Alignment with the best European and global practices for quality assurance in education and science;
• Taking into account and complying with the most current and innovative developments / methods and technologies / in educational, research, project and innovation activities;
• Continuous auditing and quality certification in accordance with established national, European and world standards;
• Complete and adequate documentation of the activities of the Quality System and their public disclosure;
• Ensuring adequate training for representatives of the academic community with a view to mobilizing them for active participation in quality assurance activities.
  
  The quality policy of the University of Ruse is a testimony of the social responsibility of the institution by observing the following basic principles::

• Equality, including gender equality, in terms of rights, responsibilities, participation in the main university activities, career development, working conditions provided by the educational institution;
• Publicity and access to the educational, informational, infrastructural and financial resources of the educational institution;
